Beppu city is the Spa resorts town at Oita Prefecture. Near by Oita city.
There are eight famous public spa areas at Beppu city. It is called Beppu Hachiyu.

Beppu Onsen is the core spa resort area of Beppu Hachiyu. Beppu became famous as spa resort since Edo era. There are Takegawara onsen as symbol of Beppu Onsen area, and the Onsen festival is held around this area.
