BUKEYASIKI (武家屋敷)

The area round Shimabara Castle, is called Teppou-Machi (firearms town), because a matchlock gun produced in this area. Still keep three Bukeyasiki (Samurai's houses). Shimada's House is one of Low rank Samurai's house, which now use for display their lifestyle. Also you can see and walk the street of Edo era.

DEJIMA (出島)

Dejima was a small fan-shaped artificial island built in the bay of Nagasaki in 1634. This island remained as the single place of direct trade and exchange between Japan and Europe during the Edo Era. Dejima was built to constrain foreign traders as part of "sakoku" self-imposed isolationist policy.

HIRADO CASTLE (平戸城)

Hirado Castle was built on top of a small, rounded mountainous peninsula facing Hirado Bay, surrounded on three sides by water. The castle was destroyed until the meiji Restoration of 1868, and then reconstruct from 1962.

KUSHIMA CASTLE RUIN (玖島城跡)

Kushima castle was built by Load Yoshiaki Ohmura at 1599. In 1871, the castle was destroyed and Omura Shrine for the former Omura was built at the main enclosure of a castle. Now it is a part of Ohmura park. Near by Nagasaki Air Terminal.

SHIMABARA CASTLE (島原城)

Shimabara castle, also known as Moritake castle, is located at the bottom of Mt Unzen. It was demolished at 1874, and then reconstructed from 1964. Now, a castle tower exist as the historical museum. Near by Bukeyasiki.
